MUDE Return and Refund Policy

To request a cancellation, return or exchange, email info@trylocals.com with your order number and request. We will provide return instructions and the return address.

Preorder cancellations

You may cancel your preorder at any time before dispatch for a full refund, with no cancellation fee.

Preorder delivery estimates appear on the product page. If delays occur, we will notify you. You may cancel before dispatch instead of accepting a revised timeline. If we cannot supply your order, we will refund you in full.

Online purchases: seven-day cancellation right

For eligible online purchases, you may cancel without giving a reason or paying a penalty within seven days after receiving your goods. You are responsible only for the direct cost of returning them. We will refund your payment within 30 days of cancellation.

Additional 14-day returns and size exchanges

MUDE also accepts requests for change-of-mind returns or size exchanges within 14 days of delivery, provided the shoes are unworn, undamaged and returned with their original packaging. Please try shoes on indoors on a clean surface.

For this additional service, you pay return shipping and any delivery cost for a replacement pair, which we will confirm beforehand. Exchanges depend on stock availability. If your requested size is unavailable, you may choose a refund.

These additional conditions do not restrict your statutory cancellation or defective-goods rights.

Defective, damaged or incorrect goods

Contact us promptly if you receive damaged or incorrect goods. Include photographs where possible.

If goods are defective or fail to meet the applicable quality standards within six months of delivery, you may return them at MUDE’s expense and choose a repair, replacement or refund, as provided by the Consumer Protection Act.

Normal wear and damage caused by misuse are not manufacturing defects. Original packaging is not required to exercise statutory defective-goods rights.

Refunds

Refunds are made to the original payment method where possible. For preorder cancellations and our additional voluntary returns, we aim to issue refunds within 10 business days of cancellation or receipt of the returned goods, respectively. Your bank may take additional time to display the credit. Applicable statutory deadlines remain binding.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under South African consumer law.
